The score and its bands

What the number out of 100 means, and the five bands it falls into.

Every saved place gets a score from 0 to 100 for each of your activities, for today and the next four days. It says how good the weather is for that activity, measured against what you said you like. It knows nothing about whether the place is open or groomed.

The band sets the dial's colour and the word beside it. On the very best days, Why? has nothing to list: Nothing holding it back.

One place, four scores

The same weather can be great for one activity and poor for another: fresh snow that makes a downhill day bogs down a skate ski. So every place has a separate score for each activity. The chips at the top of Today and the place screen show each one; tap a chip to switch, and the whole app follows.

When there's no score

A dash (—) means there's nothing to score: no forecast for that day yet, or a gap in it. Snowpace never fills a gap with a guess. See No forecast, or an old one.

What goes into it

Eight weather factors, judged for your activity and your settings, and the snowpack. How scores work explains what each one is, and Why? on any answer shows which of them are holding that day back.
